Sunday morning they totally spoiled me by letting me sleep in, so that I woke up to the smell of the amazing feast they were preparing. After brunch we dyed eggs and hid them in the yard for Sunny's very first Easter egg hunt - a very amusing event! I'm not sure how many of you have witnessed a 17-month-old hunting for Easter eggs, but it goes something like this:
Adult: "Sunny, where are the eggs? Can you find the Easter eggs?"
Sunny: "Eggs" ((wanders aimlessly, shaking whatever object happens to be in her hand at the time))
Adult: "Right. Eggs. Can you find the eggs? Where are the eggs, Sunny?"
Sunny: ((continues, now towards the nearest person))
Adult: ((standing right front of an egg hidden in plain sight and pointing at it)) "Sunny, what's that?"
Sunny: ((starts walking towards the person who last spoke))
Adults: ((all pointing at the egg)) "What's that Sunny?"
Sunny: ((approaches looks picks up egg))
Adults: ((wild applause and cheering)) "Yay Sunny! Good job! You found another egg!"
Sunny: ((smiles, shakes egg in babble unintelligibly))
Adult: "Sunny, can you find more Easter eggs?"
Repeat until all eggs have been found.
Thanks for including us in your blog! That little dialog is so cute. Lol. We're going to have to show her this when she's a bit older.
ReplyDeleteOf course! I added a link to the Egg Hunt video Ben posted on Facebook, but it'll only be viewable to people connected to him (on FB).
